Supporters brought in $500 in Pet Luminaria donations at the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life-posted July 12, 2010
The Animal Clinic of Santa Maria sponsored the Pet Luminaria Booth again this year at the Relay for Life of Santa Maria, held on July 10-11, 2010 at the Elks Unocal Event Center.
We thank everyone who participated to make the event a great success.
Food Drive to benefit animals at the Santa Maria Valley Humane Society -posted June 17, 2010
We will have a collection bin in our lobby for the next week until June 26th. The following items are especially needed: Dog and cat food(Purina Kitten Chow, Friskies's Classic Pate, Healthwise Dry Adult dog food, Healthwise Active small kibble, Science Diet Adult canned dog food); rawhide chews, collars, nylon leads, non-clumping cat litter, liquid hand sanitizer, liquid laundry detergent, paper towels, “kiddie” swimming pools and squeaky toys for dogs. Your donations are greatly appreciated.

Celebrate "Be Kind to Animals Week" at the Santa Maria Animal Center -posted April 29, 2010
As part of "Be Kind to Animals Week", Santa Barbara County Animal Services is holding a week-long open house and adoption celebration from May 3 to 8. All three shelters, including the one at 548 W. Foster Road in Santa Maria are open from 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
