Registered Veterinary Technicians
Rosie Muranaka, RVT
Rosie graduated from United Health Careers Institute in 1992 and is a Registered Veterinary Technician. Her work-related interests include working with exotic pets, radiology, pet grooming and dog training.
She enjoys reading, gardening and wood-carving. Her pet family includes her dogs: Daynie (pictured as a puppy), Tessa, Skyler and Raina and her cats: Catera and Indy. She recently fostered and adopted two medically-challenged kittens from the SMV Humane Society, Bozeman and Hope. At only 4 weeks of age, they contracted a severe virus that caused each of them to lose an eye. They are now growing into healthy cats.
Duke Martin, RVT
Duke comes to us with over 30 years of experience in the veterinary field. He received his Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) degree from Pierce College in 1979.
His camera shy pets include a cat and three dogs. He is pictured with one of our favorite day care dogs, Maggie the pug. On weekends he can be found gardening, reading good books, and walking the Bob Jones Trail.
Patti studied communications at UC Santa Barbara where she received her BA degree. She completed her studies at Allan Hancock College and is in the process of becoming an RVT.
Her personal interests include swimming, golf and hiking and spending time with her cat, Bosco (not pictured).
Justie is currently enrolled at Allan Hancock College where she plans to continue her studies in the RVT program.
She has 2 dogs, Diego and Onyx (pictured) and a cat, George. She enjoys spending time with her family.
Jennyfer received her B.S. in Animal Science from Cal Poly. She is currently enrolled in the Registered Veterinary Technician Program at Allan Hancock College.
Jen enjoys swimming and is currently learning to ride a motorcycle. She likes hiking with her Australian healer mix, Rugar, pictured here.
Jamie was previously employed in the human medical field as an operating room technician for over 6 years. Prior to joining us, she worked as a veterinary assistant. Jamie plans to attend the Veterinary Technician program at Allan Hancock College.
Jamie enjoys the outdoors and can be found hiking or playing tennis. She is pictured with Rusty, her bull terrier mix.
Sarah is currently attending California Polytechnic State University, working toward her B.S. in Animal Science. She hopes to continue with her studies and work experience and attend veterinary school in the future.
She enjoys reading and playing the clarinet with Cal Poly’s Mustang Marching Band. She is pictured with her diabetic cat, Angel.
Sierra is currently attending Allan Hancock College. At our clinic she is responsible for the care of the boarding dogs and cats.
In her leisure time she enjoys yoga and dancing for Allan Hancock College. She is pictured with her dog, Fitch.
Alyssa is attending Allan Hancock College. She works primarily with the dogs and cats that are boarding with us. After completing her general education classes, Alyssa plans to transfer to San Diego State University.
She is pictured with her 4 year old brindle boxer, Bella, that was rescued from one of the local shelters.
